Accountant

Job Opening

The Accountant will be responsible for the accounts payable function, reconciliation of
various balance sheet accounts, and support the accounting team by ensuring
compliance with various internal control procedures. This person will play an important
role in the day to day activities while working closely with cross functional team
members throughout the organization.

What You’ll Do:
• Work with the accounting team to ensure tasks are completed in line with month
end close schedules
• Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, proper coding, and compliance
with internal controls
• Support corporate card administration
• Process vendor invoices to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness
• Manage vendor profiles and the onboarding process which includes entering
complete and accurate information
• Preparation of various balance sheet reconciliations
• Respond timely to internal and vendor inquiries
• Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by proactively identifying,
recommending, and helping implement solutions
• Perform internal controls in accordance with SOX
• Process and review employee expenses in accordance with company policy
• Assist with external audit preparation
•Prepare various deliverables in support of the monthly close process and audit
engagements
• Assist with various administrative tasks related to the accounting and finance
department
• Prepare and assist with any other ad hoc analysis or reporting as needed

What You’ll Need:
• 2+ years of accounting experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Good problem-solving and time management skills
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office (word and excel)
• Works well in a team environment, helping others troubleshoot issues or
challenges
• Knowledge of accounting ERP software
• Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk a plus
• Experience with Expensify or other T&E system a plus
• Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and
procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills to interact with
employees and vendors in a professional, confidential manner
